Once you’re on the treatment table your body is slathered in a yogurt and honey masque before being painted with traditional Javanese “lulur”, a granular paste containing turmeric, sandalwood, and rice powder. The paste is then rubbed to gently exfoliate the skin, after which you are seated in the steam shower, allowing the yogurt and honey to permeate the skin.
